SomaTherapy - Graduation 2023

Erik is now an official SomaTherapist. During the facial normalization course lead by the internationally renown Guy Voyer D.O., at the Dominican Republic at the Universidad Federico Hernriquez y Carvajal, Guy developed a new fascial chain testing procedure base on theory, proper treatment, cause and the creation of the appropriate fascial chain.

The SomaTherapist testing was done over three days of practical preparation which included over ten pathologies to discern proper treatments for.

Theory

  • Given the condition of “Torticollis”, or another condition from a random choice of seven, each student was required to discern the proper treatment within a five minute time frame.

Fascial Chain

  • During the fascial chain section of the exam, the graduate needed to come with the cause of the injury and then develop the fascial chain to treat the pathology for.

Practical Treatment

  • Post review of the fascial chain with approval of links created, the graduate needed to then perform at random treatment protocols upon the instructor’s discernment and explain the link and procedures of the way to manage and handle the fascial chain in question.

Final Thoughts

  • Complexity is a form that “mixes all” and “all” may just mean the limit of knowledge or the need of that knowledge to then not be limited. In the series from start to finish, one is best equip to succeed in the testing format to know what may come before or after, over and under, forward or backwards, and side-to-side to then decide for the best course that makes the most sense on direction to proceed. “I believe that a SomaTherapist in March of the year 2023 and moving forward has been given the challenge to succeed in a world of automation that one may think not of the outcome before, but know the final way and the path that becomes apparent”
